Everybody knows that Facebook alone has enough users to where if it were a country, it would be the third most populated country in the world! Let that sink in for a moment. Okay, now that you have a Facebook account, would it be okay if I show you how to market your business there without spamming?
Most social media sites have “clubs,” for lack of a better term, that like-minded people can join to discuss specific topics. There are clubs for personal development students, parents, movie buffs, etc. You’ll get a lot more feedback from posting on these pages than on your personal page. Facebook refers to their clubs as groups. Google+ calls them communities. Many of these online clubs have tens of thousands, even millions of members. Wouldn’t it be awesome if you could join one of these, post an ad, and have that many people see it every day?
Well, too bad, because it’s not that simple. The post-your-website-and-run method has been done to death on practically every website ever made, to where most people are conditioned to ignore those ads. In the computer world, that style of advertising is called spam. You’ll be kicked out, reported, banned, blacklisted, ghosted, whatever term you prefer, very quickly.
If you’re like most social media users, you’ll notice that these websites absolutely LOVE quotes. Look at any social media page, regardless of topic, and I guarantee that at least 80% of the posts will be quotes. These types of posts tend to be so attractive that hundreds, thousands, and millions of people end up sharing them on their own page, where their friends, family, and other visitors can see. Quite a difference between this and the way most people react to regular ads. Wouldn’t it be awesome if people gave your ads that much respect?
Fortunately, there are simple ways to do that. All you have to do is put your website into a picture, then post that picture on a social media website, preferably in a group/community. This is called watermarking. From there, many people will share your quote, exposing your website to countless people, many of whom will also share and repeat the cycle. Of course, they’ll also visit your site. I post at least 30 watermarked pictures per day on Google+ and Facebook. Watermarked pictures bring about 100 people per day to my website, and at one point, 302 in one day. Some people even became customers without me having to talk to them.
I put together a 3-part video series on how to do this. Part 1 is the simplest method, which is to find a quote picture and add your website. Part 2 is on how to make your own quote pictures. Part 3 is on how to watermark up to 50 pictures at once for free. You can watch them right below this essay.
Make a nice day!
